About the Khewra Salt Mine Source

Each brick is cut from natural Himalayan pink rock salt at the Khewra Salt Mine in Pakistan, the second-largest salt mine globally, with deposits estimated to be approximately 250 million years old. The salt contains over 98% pure sodium chloride and more than 84 natural trace minerals. The natural pink-to-coral color results from iron oxide and trace mineral content within the salt deposit; no dyes, additives, or coatings are applied at any stage. Bricks are precision CNC-cut and batch-matched at the source before shipment to the Maryland warehouse.
