Himalayan White Salt Tiles: 8 x 4 x 1 Inch

Himalayan white salt tiles are cut from the lighter, more translucent grade of rock salt from the Khewra Salt Mine in Pakistan. They measure 8 x 4 x 1 inches, test at 98%+ sodium chloride and give a bright, near-white glow when backlit. Designers use them for modern spaces, contrast patterns with pink salt tiles, and spas that want a clean, light look.

White Salt Tile Specifications

How Many White Salt Tiles Do You Need?

About 4.5 tiles cover one square foot. Multiply wall width by height in feet, multiply by 4.5, and add about 10% for cuts. These are planning estimates for tiles laid flat.

White or Pink Salt?

White salt gives a brighter, cooler light and suits modern and minimal rooms. Pink salt gives a warmer amber glow. Many projects combine both in stripes, borders or checker patterns. Compare them in Pink vs white salt walls.

Installing White Salt Tiles

Install on a clean, dry, flat backing with a clear salt-bonding adhesive, which keeps joints clear so light passes through. One tube covers about 30 to 40 tiles. Keep walls away from steam and direct water. Our salt wall build guide covers layout and wiring.
